It is only half of October and the news does not stop scrolling. Since the return of Jack Dorsey at the helm of all Twitter habits have been turned upside down.
“Moments” to boost current events :
We start with the “Moment” feature that is a space dedicated to the news. Organized by sections, Moments brings together all the news about a topic in particular so that the user can check the news momentarily.
This feature also targets people who are not yet registered on Twitter. In fact those who do not have a Twitter account have the ability to track these moments on the home page of the social network. In a manner for Jack Dorsey of boosting growth!
Will this Mr.Dorsey reach his goals? Stay tuned!
Video sharing via Twitter.com :
well yes ! It is now possible to upload videos from the web version of Twitter by clicking on “Media“. Then just choose the video you’d like to share from your computer, select the best part of the video to download and then tweet it to your subscribers.
Don’t forget the unforgettable pre-roll ads :
Even Twitter gets into it ! Another way to encourage people to publish their ads onTwitter .
How? The Pre-Roll ads are advertisements that appear six seconds before playback of a video, such as YouTube.
What is the difference?
Twitter thought of Publisher, it affects 70% of earnings (and Twitter 30%) against 55% earnings on Youtube.
Will Twitter manage to outpace Youtube in the Pre-Roll ads? Only time will tell …
Final News: Twitter and layoffs!
336 jobs were eliminated. More specifically 8% of the workforce.
Most of them were engineers. According to Dorsey, the more the team is reduced the better the performance is.
In just 2 years Twitter has increased from 2,000 employees (2nd quarter of 2013) to 4100 employees. However its users have only increased by 50%.
plenty of news in such a short period of time! All of this raised many questions: What is behind all this? Is it a growth strategy or a way to make up a deficit?
